The people lived their lives in their own ways and did whatever pleases them. We are even told that Visions and a Clear Word from the LORD were rare in those days. 1 Sam 3

However, this book opens up with a contrast that reveals some key characters:
Elkanah’s dedication to go up yearly to the house of the Lord at Shiloh, the second wife Penninah mockery of Hannah for not having Children, Hannah’s persistence in the place of prayer with a specific request; A SON and Eli’s encounter with Hannah.

Therefore, we can see from the author’s perspective how that a woman like Hannah through her persistence in the place of prayer brought deliverance to the entire Nation as the LORD used her son Samuel to lead His people in righteousness and Anointed the first two kings of Israel.
Who would have told Hannah that her daily prayer and persistence before the LORD was all the Nation of Israel needed for their deliverance? Or that her Son Samuel was going to restore the treasure of hearing the voice of the LORD in the Land that has long been forgotten because of ungodliness at the leadership level? Who would have told Hannah that what she was going through was not a sign of rejection from the Lord, but rather a privilege to feel the EMOTIONS of the LORD’s HEART and partner with Him for the salvation of the NATION?
Maybe you are at the same place Hannah was many years ago and are feeling like she felt during those times, I encourage you dear friends, DO NOT GIVE UP PRAYING TOWARD WHAT THE LORD HAS PROMISED YOU IN THE PAST, FOR HE IS FAITHFUL
Today we know and preach of Samuel as one of the greatest leaders of integrity, but before there was Samuel, MEET HANNAH.
Do not under estimate what the Lord is able to do through your prayers, because of how you feel. Feelings will last only for a period of TIME, but the TRUTH of the LORD’s Promises remains forever.
You might just be another Hannah in your own generation. Remember, ONE with the LORD is majority.

The Spirit of Prayer (Meet Hannah) 1 Samuel 1 Your destiny and calling will stay alive in your heart and mind as often as you spend time in the place of prayer and the Word reminding yourself of Abba’s Faithfulness.

[4
